Is BP & Sugar free?
Yes. Logging blood sugar, blood pressure and other vitals, zones, charts and reminders are free. An optional Premium subscription (or one-time lifetime purchase) removes ads and unlocks PDF/CSV reports, estimated A1C, family profiles and unlimited pulse checks.
Can the app measure my blood sugar or blood pressure?
No. No app can measure blood sugar or blood pressure with the phone alone. You measure with a glucose meter or a blood pressure cuff and log the values in the app in a few seconds.
Which devices are supported?
BP & Sugar is available for iPhone and iPad on iOS 15 or later. There is currently no Android or Apple Watch version.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. Your readings are stored on your device and every core feature, including medication reminders, works offline.
Where is my data stored? Is it private?
Your health data is stored in an encrypted database on your iPhone. We do not upload it to our servers, we never sell it and it is never used for advertising.
Can I use mg/dL and mmol/L?
Yes. Choose your glucose unit when logging or in Profile › Units; the app converts automatically (1 mmol/L = 18 mg/dL).
How are blood pressure zones calculated?
We use the American Heart Association categories: normal below 120/80, elevated 120–129 and below 80, stage 1 130–139 or 80–89, stage 2 140/90 or higher, and crisis above 180/120.
How is the estimated A1C calculated?
With the ADAG formula: eA1C = (average glucose in mg/dL + 46.7) ÷ 28.7, using at least 5 readings in the selected period. It is an estimate, not a lab result.
Does it connect to Apple Health?
Yes. With your permission it can import weight, heart rate and blood oxygen from Apple Health. Health data is never shared with third parties or used for ads.
How do I share my readings with my doctor?
Open History and tap Export to create a PDF report or CSV spreadsheet (Premium), then share it by email, AirDrop or any app.
How do the free trial and subscription work?
The yearly plan includes a free trial for new subscribers. You are reminded before it ends and charged by Apple only if you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open iPhone Settings › your name › Subscriptions › BP & Sugar › Cancel Subscription. You keep Premium until the end of the paid period.
How do I restore my purchase on a new phone?
Open the Premium screen or Profile and tap Restore, using the same Apple ID you purchased with.
Can I track my parents or partner too?
Yes. Family profiles (Premium) keep separate logs, charts and reports for each person.
